Fear of Abandonment and Self Abandonment; Three techniques to Heal

Do you find yourself suffering from the fear of abandonment?  A psychologist I recently met, says that all fear of rejection is actually fear of abandonment.  How many people fear rejection?  Rejection is one of the most common fears, right along with the fear of death.

As I go deeper into the understanding of the abandonment fear, I find that most people with a strong fear of abandonment actually self abandon.  They “check out,” or wallow in feelings of self-pity, self-loathing and unworthiness.

In order to work with our rejection and abandonment fears, it is important to focus on techniques that keep you present with yourself and that are self-loving.
