Overcoming Obsession and Rumination after Narcissistic Abuse

Overcoming the Obsession and Rumination after Narcissistic Abuse is probably one of the biggest issues, causing the greatest amount of pain.  If we could just let go and move on, but there seems to be an energetic cord pulling us to that person, even after all the pain and the trauma.  What we don’t realize is that it is the pain and trauma that is keeping us hooked.  We have absorbed the message that we have no worth or value and nobody would want us.  We have been sold a lie and until we recognize the lie, we will hold onto the one source of validation that means the most.  The validation of the one who caused us to feel so worthless in the first place.

Sure, there are archaic roots to our core wound of worthlessness.  But it gets awakened big time in these toxic, devaluing and deflating relationships.  We have to dig deep and find within ourselves the truth that wants to shine through.  We are not at all those worthless, useless excuses for a human being.  We are the light, shining so brightly on the shadows of humanity.  And those who so masterfully hide from their shadows, will try to assassinate the very light that exposes that shadow.

Our job is to not believe the lie that has been visited upon us.
