Who You Are Seeking is Seeking You

Who You are Seeking is Seeking You
Dating Again After Narcissistic Abuse Series #2

I recently read a great book geared towards dating in the baby boomer generation called “Boomers Guide to Finding True Love Online,” by Ken Solin.  It was a great book!  It had some things that were specific to the older generation, but it had a lot of good tips that would be beneficial for anyone.  One of them is that “who you are seeking is seeking you.”

Okay, so this is also something I learned in the “law of attraction” materials I’ve studied.  But it is an important tidbit to remember.  There are hundreds of thousands of available men and women Online who are seeking life partners.  Granted there are some schemers and narcissists out there too.  But not everyone is a narcissist.  There are plenty of good men and women who are sincerely searching for the person who is right for them.  And you are the right match for the one you are looking for.  Who you are seeking is seeking you.

It is useless to waste our time looking at the statistics of how many available men there are in the world compared to available women; or how all men over fifty want a younger woman.  These are beliefs that will get in your way and drag you down.  Look around you and you will see that people find love at all ages, and they don’t have to be perfect either.  They simply need to be willing.

As I venture out into the world of online dating, I am taking you with me and sharing what I am learning.  There is so much to learn; not only in how to navigate the online dating world, but how to work through the inner issues that come up when we put ourselves out there again.  Especially when we have been hurt or healing core wounds of abandonment, rejection and unworthiness.

It takes courage to get back on the horse again, so to speak.  But remember, you are getting on a different horse, not the same one.  Hopefully the horse you choose will be much more mild mannered and respectful.
